Dear ms.Welker I am reading because of Winn-Dixie by Kate Dicamillo. I predict that Opal the girls Mother. Died.The reason why I think that is because in a movie I once saw called Annie her parents left her when she was little like Opal because she was 3 years old when her Mother left her so I think there is a connection between the movie and the book.
A summary of what read.when i was reading i did not find out about what happend to her mom
I Read that Opal was afraid to tell the preacher/her Dad that she wants to know more about her mother when I read this I had a question why is she afraid to ask her Dad about her mom? I found the answer and it was that he mite get mad at her.when I read that I had another qestion it was why is she afraid it is her dad.Then she finally asked her Dad she said"Dad since I have been alive for 10 years tell me 10 thing about my mother and i am ten years old to so I had a connection!! Also

Why do you think Opal's dad will get mad if Opal asks about her mom? Try to add in a little more description to your answers!
